We are back again to give you a sneak peek into our latest Marathi Shala session. But first, grab your glasses and a cup of tea and prepare to ride this rollercoaster of learning, surprises, and a sprinkle of humor. 🎢

आमच्या नवीनतम मराठी शाला सत्रात तुम्हाला एक झलक देण्यासाठी आम्ही पुन्हा आलो आहोत. पण प्रथम, तुमचा चष्मा आणि चहाचा कप घ्या आणि शिकण्याच्या, आश्चर्याच्या आणि विनोदाच्या शिंपडण्याच्या या रोलरकोस्टरवर स्वार होण्याची तयारी करा. 🎢

Let's dive right in! Today's class was buzzing with the enthusiastic hum of our scholars. It seems every week, our little bees are eager to collect more nectar of knowledge. Today was no exception, as the focus was...drumroll... Marathi Vowels (Swara). No, we didn't try to teach them all 13 vowels in a day. We are brave, but we are not that brave! We smartly chose two for a focused learning session, specifically अ and आ.

चला थेट आत जाऊया! आजचा वर्ग आमच्या विद्वानांच्या उत्साही गुणगुणत होता. दर आठवड्याला असे दिसते की आमच्या लहान मधमाश्या ज्ञानाचे आणखी अमृत गोळा करण्यास उत्सुक आहेत. आजचा दिवस अपवाद नव्हता, कारण फोकस होता... ढोलकी... मराठी स्वर (स्वरा). नाही, आम्ही त्यांना एका दिवसात सर्व 13 स्वर शिकवण्याचा प्रयत्न केला नाही. आम्ही शूर आहोत, पण तेवढे धाडसी नाही! एका केंद्रित शिक्षण सत्रासाठी आम्ही हुशारीने दोन निवडले, विशेषतः अ आणि आ.

A Swara-tastic Adventure:

In today's Swara extravaganza, our Marathi scholars got a buffet of words starting with A (अ) and Aah (आ). Trust our brilliant Volunteer Teacher, Suchita, to have scavenged the Marathi dictionary and come up with words that our little American Marathi moguls could easily relate to. 'Aswal' and 'Ardha' were the stars of the day, making cameos in many sentences and stories. And in case you’re wondering, that's 'Bear' and 'Half' in English!

एक स्वरा-चविष्ट साहस:

आजच्या स्वरा अवांतर मध्ये, आपल्या मराठी विद्वानांना अ (अ) आणि आह (आ) ने सुरू होणार्‍या शब्दांचा बुफे मिळाला. आमच्या हुशार स्वयंसेवी शिक्षिका, सुचितावर विश्वास ठेवा, त्यांनी मराठी शब्दकोश तयार केला आहे आणि आमच्या छोट्या अमेरिकन मराठी मोगलांशी सहजपणे संबंध ठेवू शकतील असे शब्द आणले आहेत. 'अस्वाल' आणि 'अर्धा' हे त्याकाळचे तारे होते, त्यांनी अनेक वाक्ये आणि कथांमध्ये कॅमिओ बनवले. आणि जर तुम्ही विचार करत असाल तर ते इंग्रजीत 'बेअर' आणि 'हाफ' आहे!

The icing on the cake, or should we say the laddoo on our Diwali plate, is our imminent grand Diwali celebration. And guess what? Our Marathi Shala got the golden ticket to present not one, not two, but THREE cultural programs! That’s right, and we'll be kickstarting it with the “Swagat Git”. पण थांबा, आणखी काही आहे!

केकवरील आयसिंग किंवा आपण आपल्या दिवाळीच्या थाळीतील लाडू म्हणू, हा आपला नजीकचा भव्य दिवाळी उत्सव आहे. आणि अंदाज काय? आमच्या मराठी शाळेला एक, दोन नव्हे, तर तीन सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम सादर करण्याचे सुवर्ण तिकीट मिळाले! ते बरोबर आहे, आणि आम्ही "स्वागत गीत" सह त्याची सुरुवात करणार आहोत. आता, जर तुम्ही विचार करत असाल की कोणत्या गाण्याला आमची निवड करण्याचा मान मिळाला आहे, तर या गाण्याकडे कान द्या: स्वागत गीत व्हिडिओ.

Our Batch1 kiddos got a full dose of the Swaras, from their significance to their pronunciation, packed with fun-filled activities. And here's a shocker - they've aced writing the अ Swara! Check out their masterpieces in this photo.

बॅच 1 शेनानिगन्स:

आमच्या बॅच 1 च्या मुलांना स्वरांचा संपूर्ण डोस मिळाला, त्यांच्या महत्त्वापासून ते त्यांच्या उच्चारापर्यंत, मनोरंजक क्रियाकलापांनी भरलेले. आणि इथे एक धक्कादायक गोष्ट आहे - त्यांनी "स्वरा" लिहिण्याचा प्रयत्न केला आहे! या फोटोमध्ये त्यांच्या उत्कृष्ट कृती पहा.

Batch2's Gala Time:

Batch2 wasn’t left behind. Like their younger counterparts, they too got their dose of Swara with a side of word salads and writing practice. Their handwriting? Let’s just say, some primary teachers back in Maharashtra might want to take notes.

बॅच2 चा उत्सव वेळ:

बॅच 2 मागे राहिला नाही. त्यांच्या लहान सहकार्‍यांप्रमाणे, त्यांनाही वर्ड सॅलड आणि लेखन सरावाच्या बाजूने स्वराचा डोस मिळाला. त्यांचे हस्ताक्षर? चला, महाराष्ट्रातील काही प्राथमिक शिक्षकांना नोट्स घ्यायच्या असतील.

Diving Deeper into Swaras:

For the uninitiated, let's have a quick recap. Swaras, or Marathi vowels, are the cornerstone of the language. They form the base on which words are constructed, much like legos (but less painful when stepped on). Today, we've introduced the kids to just the tip of the Swara-berg, with much more to explore in the coming sessions. If you're curious, here's a quick list to brush up on: अ, आ, इ, ई, उ, ऊ, ए, ऐ, ओ, औ, अं, अ:, and ऋ. Try saying those quickly three times in a row!

स्वरसात खोलवर जाणे:
